Victory was a common theme on the homefront during World War II, and bowlers went all in on the cause. Made up of various professional organizations, the Bowlers Victory Legion formed in 1942 to contribute to the war effort, focusing on troop morale and other directives. These bowling-themed pin-up playing cards were possibly part of care packages sent to overseas service members. The group continues to engage veterans and is known as the Bowlers to Veterans Link.
