COLUMBUS PUTS ON A SHOW
Date: 1942
When the country’s best bowlers converged on Columbus, Ohio, for the 1942 American Bowling Congress’s world championships, they were greeted with posters which read: “It Was Columbus in 1492, It’s Still Columbus in 1942,” a motif repeated on the commemorative membership medal.
