The Budweisers team was arguably best known for their record-shattering high score at a 1958 tournament, but the team had been building to that success with a number of impressive victories. On January 18, 1956, at the Masters League match at Floriss Lanes in St. Louis, the team recorded a three-game total of 3729. At the time, it was the fourth-highest three-game score in history in addition to being the top score of the bowling season. Dick Weber and Don Carter’s stars shone particularly bright with a perfect game and 806 series score, respectively.
