With over two months of action, the 1959 ABC Tournament drew enormous crowds. Held in St. Louis, Missouri, at the 138th Infantry Armory, the tournament featured 5,000 participants with some of the most famous bowlers of the day making an appearance. The Budweiser Bowling Team featured All-Stars and future Hall of Famers Dick Weber, Don Carter and Tom Hennessey. Eddie Lubanski of Detroit, Michigan, snagged the top prize, setting a tournament record with 2,116 pins for an all-events title.
