When you think of American bowling, you probably think of bowling shirts, bowling shoes, colorful alleys and the beer leagues. But internationally, bowling has tchotchkes and idiosyncrasies for every country in which it’s played. The Netherlands adorned a traditional wooden clog with a bowling pin, and the inaugural FIQ World Youth Tenpin Bowling Championship trophies featured a nod to the Philippines, the host country. The International Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame boasts a large collection of international bowling memorabilia.
