Bowling’s golden age was not exclusive to the United States. Many industry leaders saw opportunities to expand America’s tenpin bowling internationally in the years after World War II. The U.S. State Department agreed, sponsoring exhibitions of American sports in Asia. Who better to represent the sport than the Budweisers squad? The team, which included Pat Patterson, traveled in Korea and Japan, putting on bowling demonstrations for interested onlookers.
