MEISTER BRAU’S BOWLING QUEENS
Date: Late 1940s
In the late 1940s, the Meister Brau Beer women’s bowling team was a force to be reckoned with, starring legends like Catherine Fellmeth (far left). Fellmeth bowled her way into the United States Bowling Congress (USBC) Hall of Fame in 1970. She was also part of the winning team at the 1942 USBC Women’s Championships, and in 1949, she made history again as the first woman to join Brunswick’s staff of champions.
