The Meister Brau Beer women’s bowling team is shown here at a bowling alley around 1949. Women’s bowling in the late 1940s saw a surge in popularity, offering women a competitive outlet and a space to connect in the postwar era. Team members including Bertha Skoda (second from left), Sally Ostrowski and Eleanor Lorig who embodied the spirit of the era, balancing skill and determination with a sense of fun.
