BOWLING AT HOME
Date: 1960
Marion Ladewig posed with fellow keglers Lou Kraznick (left) and Buddy Bomar (right) during an event. Outside of competitions, Ladewig partnered with Bomar, a member of Brunswick’s exhibition staff, in travelling the country and hosting free instructional classes for the public. One memorable outing took place in 1963 at Municipal Stadium before Cleveland hosted the New York Yankees. Ladewig and Bomar squared off against local bowlers in exhibition matches, using an alley built on two flatbed trucks placed in front of home plate. Sports fans were delighted to watch bowling and baseball in one setting!
