MAKING PWBA HISTORY
Date: 1960
It wasn’t long before Marion Ladewig stamped her name into PWBA history. She took the top prize at the inaugural Professional Women’s Bowlers Association North American Championship in 1960, where 72 members competed at Pinerama Lanes in Miami Beach. Ladewig finished the 16-game tournament with a 202 average and 3,232 pins, bettering the second-place finisher by 101.
