Mettlach steins are some of the most recognizable tankards in any collection. The company, formally known as Villeroy & Boch, was known for their innovative designs and manufacturing methods. Phanolith, the semi-transparent porcelain of the “Peasants Bowling” stein set, debuted at the 1900 Paris Exposition. This set could be reproductions or originals, but the beer will taste just as good!
